Some people come into this world and don’t even live, others come into this world and fight to make a difference!
Former South African President and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela has died. He was 95. Mandela has had ongoing health issues — he was hospitalized in June for a recurring lung infection. The President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma said in a statement that Mandela was “well looked after” and “comfortable” in his final days.
Mandela is known for leading South Africa out of apartheid. He served 27 years in prison for conspiring to overthrow South Africa’s government. He was released in 1990 and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.
In 1994, Nelson Mandela became South Africa’s first black president.
